Certain enemies are weak or strong against different types of damage types. The durability of the weapon. The effectiveness of the weapon will severely deteriorate when the durability falls below 30%.The Claymore is a large sword while the Greatsword is a very large sword. They're different weapon classes. The former swings faster and takes less stamina per swing while the latter swings slower, using more stamina and dealing a good amount more damage per hit.
